This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes our policies and practices for collecting, using and disclosing the personal information we collect when you use TeacherPlus. This Policy does not apply to other Rediker websites or portals. In conjunction with the Terms of Use, this Policy governs your use of TeacherPlus. Our information collection, management, and disclosure practices apply to parents, teachers, administrators, and students. If you are a teacher, you agree that this is acceptable for you as well as any of your students who use our online services. By accessing, using, or visiting TeacherPlus you acknowledge and understand that the collection, use, processing and sharing of your information is subject to this Policy and you consent to the Policy terms.
We reserve the right to change this Policy at any time. In the event we make material changes to the Policy, we will provide notice through the Site. Please note that changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Site and will apply to your use of the Site after the “effective date” listed above. You understand and agree that by continuing to use the Site after the effective date the collection, use, and sharing of your information will be subject to the updated Policy

Rediker, complies with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), and does not knowingly collect any information directly from anyone under 13 years of age. Our websites, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old. For example, Rediker uses industry standard SSL (secure socket layer) encryption to transfer private, personal information.
Data is stored and processed on secure servers located primarily in the United States. The data center containing your information meets the physical and electronic security requirements as set forth in Rediker’s Data Security and Privacy Policies, available on our website and/or in writing upon request. Such Data Security and Privacy Policies may be modified from time to time with notice to the user. Rediker complies with the provisions of 201 C.M.R. 17.00, and maintains a Written Information Security Program, which is available upon request. We are in compliance with California’s OPPA (Online Privacy Protection Act).
No system for safeguarding personal or other information is 100% secure and even though we have taken steps to protect your personal information from being intercepted, accessed, used or disclosed by unauthorized persons, we cannot fully eliminate security risks associated with personal information. By agreeing to Rediker's Policy (and separate Terms of Use), you agree to use TeacherPlus and other at your own risk, and agree that Rediker shall not be liable if a security breach occurs, if the site malfunctions, or if information is misused or mismanaged in any way to your detriment or the detriment of a third party, whether by Rediker, your school, your teacher, or an unauthorized third party.
“Do Not Track” is a privacy preference that you can set in your Internet search browser that sends a signal to a website that you do not want the website operator to track certain browsing information about you. We do not process or respond to "Do Not Track" signals from your browser or other mechanisms that enable consumer choice regarding the collection of personal information about one's online activities over time and across third-party websites or online services.

TeachersPlus, in of itself, does not collect teacher, student, or parent demographic information. Options to control our collection and use of your personal information include disabling cookies, unsubscribing to marketing emails from Rediker, and limiting the personal information you provide via our online services. You may also contact Rediker and/or your school to request, for example, that your personal information be deleted – subject to any mandated school data retention requirements.
If you are a teacher using TeacherPlus or other school-specific hosted services, and cease to agree with Rediker's Privacy Policy or Terms of Use at some point in the future, you may opt out in whole or in part by contacting your Subscriber’s Rediker Software administrator. (Your school is typically the subscriber to these services.) You can, for example, opt in or out of receiving email alerts when information about your child is published to TeacherPlus, or having your family’s information included in directories TeacherPlus shares with the school community.
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits you to request information regarding the disclosure of your personal information by certain members of the Company to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. Requests may be made one time per calendar year. If applicable, this information would include the categories of customer information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we shared customer information for the immediately prior calendar year (e.g., requests made in 2018 will receive information regarding 2017 sharing activities). We do not disclose your personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
If you are under the age of 18, and a registered user of any site where this policy is posted, California law permits you to request and obtain removal of content or information you have publicly posted. You may submit your request using the contact information at the end of this Policy.
